Welcome to our website ....... which is still under construction !!
The aim of this site is to provide helpful information to people from N. Ireland who are going through the process of adopting children from overseas.
The site is maintained and updated by people who have either been through, or are currently going through the adoption process. We hope therefore that this site will be maintained by you and for you ....... as such the information is very much yours and your input to it is needed and received gratefully.
We would like you to tell us what to include, remove or change. We want the information to be helpful, practical and up to date so please tell us when the goalposts move ...... 'cos we know they will !!
The site has been created for a number of reasons. These range from a wish to provide useful information to the frustration that 99% of the 'good stuff' that is available on-line relates to the USA. This site will therefore be specific to the needs of Northern Ireland residents !!!
In
broad terms the site is in two parts:
Part 1 relates to general information about the
process of Overseas Adoption, how to begin the process,
what is required, what happens when etc. These pages
can be accessed by clicking on the buttons on the left of
each page.
Part 2 provides specific information about the
most common countries from which people apply to adopt.
These pages are very much in the development stage!!
Those that are available can be accessed by clicking on
the name of the country in the tool bar on the left.
